Christmas
SSOHC created 42 festive baubles: 28 in Hertford, 12 in Ware, 1 in Watton at Stone and 1 in Van Hage Garden Centre.
As usual , we were trying to bring a little joy, engender community spirit and fundraise for local charities which was Herts & Essex (Ware) Samaritans (registered charity number 1173717)
The Great British Bake Off
We were very honoured to be asked to make a celebrity post box topper for a calendar supporting YoungMinds
The finished topper briefly made an appearance in Hertford on 5th September before being whisked away to be professionally photographed.
Halloween Trail
Crafted Spooky Characters were hiding in shop windows around the town centre and includes an invisible man, spiders, bats, cats and even a sugar skull.
Seaside Trail
SSOHC joined forces with Hertford Town Council to support the High Street with a free themed trail that ran from 14th August to the 4th September. Crafted Characters were hiding in shop windows around the town centre and included the Blackpool Tower, a campervan, fish & chips, donkeys and many others.
Scott's Enchanted Grotto
SSOHC was delighted to team up with Scott's Grotto Trust to bring you
SCOTT'S ENCHANTED GROTTO
from Monday 26th July to Sunday 8th August 2021
The Grotto and Gardens were filled with fairies, pixies, woodland animals, teddies etc and there was a competition to find five Scotty Squirrels hidden around the site. Over the course for the yarnbomb Scott's Grotto welcomed 4,430 visitors and raised a whopping £7,200 for charities (Scott's Grotto Trust and Samaritans Herts & Essex)
Olympics and Paralympics Trail
SSOHC joined forces with Hertford Town Council to support the high street with a free themed trail that ran from the 31st July to 14th August. Crafted Characters were hiding in shop windows around the town centre and included the Olympic stadium, Wheelchair Tennis, Weightlifter and many others.
Hertford Farmyard Grotto
SSOHC once again joined forces with Hertford Town Council with this free themed trail for children to enjoy with their families. Crafted Farmyard Characters were hiding in shop windows around the town center and including ducks, a tractor, a highland cow and even a farm house.
After the trail finished the characters were auctioned off raising £297 for Herts and Essex (Ware) Samaritans (registered charity 219432)
Butterfly Fairy Trail
SSOHC was thrilled to take part in Hertford Town Council's "Enchanted Fairy Trail" in the grounds of Hertford Castle in June. We hope you enjoyed our Butterfly Fairy Garden.
We have chosen to support Herts And Essex (Ware) Samaritans to help fund the vitally important work they do.
Easter Farm Trail
SSOHC was very happy to team up with Hertford Town Council to produce an Easter Farm Trail during March & April.
