The Secret Society of Hertford Crafters

The Secret Society of Hertford Crafters was formed in January 2017, bringing together a group of 20 friends with a passion for crafting. We created 27 Christmas themed post box toppers for the main post boxes around Hertford with the aim of bringing a smile to Hertford and fundraising for Isabel Hospice.

The definition of yarn bombing is to cover (an object or structure in a public place) with decorative knitted or crocheted material, as a form of street art, especially secretly and without official permission.

Yarn bombing is usually knitting and crochet but we have extended this to others forms of crafting too.

We now have over 150 members and a few projects under our belt.
